RE: Feature Request - Ability to clean points
Maybe this will help trigger how easy it may be to add this feature by way of example borrowed from the currently available "Crop & Download" tool.
Masking unwanted points:
- Lauch the "Mask Points" tool in IVION and create a Crop Boundary in 2D
- Switch to 3D and refine your crop
- Click a “Mask” button to commit to hide the points within the limits of choice to produce the natural captured environment
- Continue around building(s) to repeat until all errant points are eliminated from view.
Please comment on an availability forecast.

RE: Feature Request - Ability to clean points
We've asked for this for years and will continue to agree. This is functionality that should exist precisely because the laser technology can't handle reflectivity. In order to deliver a quality product that even NavVis should be proud of, this functionality is imperative.
You already have similar functionality with floor maps when you create an outline of an area to only include that which is within. It would seem highly possible to be able to do the same from a 2D view as in the example enhanced from one of your examples in Data Visibility.

-
Feature Request: Dataset Processing - Time Truncate
We scan in some of the most challenging environments with our VLX's. Some indoor buildings have tunnels in the belly of the beast where the VLX can get lost during scanning and produce unwanted behavior as if it's running away on its own as you're watching the screen. We've discussed this with NavVis at length and see this as an inevitable at times. Hence this idea thread:

Seeing as how you can use a slider during processing to truncate either the beginning or the end of a data set to eliminate portions you don't wish to process, and the areas we scan can be so dense with yellow path lines, loop backs, time stamps, and pano dots, it can make it hard to determine the best spot in time(s) to do so...

An idea came to mind when recently using my 3D Printer's "Slicer Software" which allows you to see the printer's actual Hot Head path on any layer by moving a slider at either end of a bar (Like you do in IVION processing setup) and the Printer Hot Head is animated on the screen moving just as it will during printing and drawing or erasing the print path as the head moves around the screen. It would be extremely helpful if when truncating in IVION processing setup that you could see the scan path animated in the quality map to begin disappearing from either end you choose as you drag along.

This way, you can much more easily pinpoint the exact moment(s) you wish to omit from processing by the yellow line animating across the screen.

I've included a screen grab video example from my slicer software to give you an idea if I wasn't clear enough in text. -
Feature Request: "@user" references from POI's
Hey NavVis...
Any thought to enabling the ability to reference specific people in a POI so that once that happens, the intended user gets an email ping along with the POI link to take them to that specific spot/POI in IVION?
This would be a convenient collaboration feature for both in-office and field.

Feature Request - Competitor Capability
Any thought on incorporating AI to add this type of capability to IVION?
