• RE: IVION: Visual Index generation

    Hi Oliver,
I feel you and I know that the current situation around resources/documentation is everything else but perfect. We are aware of that and we're in the process of improving things for our customers. In regard to all documentation around IVION you can use the IVION documentation which is available here in our Customer Portal.

As I already shared in another post we're already working on a better way to generate the Visual Index for IVION instances. I will however forward your feedback to our development teams so that they can improve on the current situation.

    Best, Laurin
  • RE: IVION: Visual Index generation

    Hi Oliver,

Laurin from NavVis here. One question before we dig deeper... are you using the latest version of Visual Index Generator to create your Index? In regard to IVION we made some changes so I would kindly ask you wo double check if you're using the latest version. To check please refer to our new IVION docs: https://ivion.docs.navvis.com/navvis-ivion-documentation/navvis-ivion-cloud-setup/setting-up-navvis-positioning-enterprise-only/

In case you are still experiencing problems after checking all that please open a support case with NavVis Support in order to troubleshoot the problem with one of my colleagues.

    Best,
    Laurin
  • RE: Feature Request: Visual Index generation from w/in IVION viewer

    Hi Oliver,
thanks for raising this question... that is indeed a fair point and I'd like to assure you that we're actively investigating how the whole process around Visual Index Generation could be improved. With the latest release we have taken some first steps into setting the groundwork for making this happen and our developing teams have this topic on their agenda. I don't have a clear timeframe that I can communicate for now, but please rest assured that we hear you.

I wish you a great day, best,
    Laurin
  • RE: Feature Request: Multiple NavGraphs for one location

    Hi Oliver,
Laurin from NavVis here. That's indeed an interesting use case that - as you pointed out - is currently not possible with a single instance setup. Would that mean that you would like to have different NavGraphs based on the user group in IndoorViewer? So that you could create a visitor group that would then not be routed through restricted areas? Maybe you can be more specific on the use case that you would like to achieve as this is key for us to understand the underlying motivation better.

  • RE: Feature Request: 360° Pano JPG Viewer (POI)

Hi Oliver, I fully understand that. We will look into if there's a possibility to make this happen.
  • RE: Feature Request: 360° Pano JPG Viewer (POI)

    Hi Oliver,
Laurin from NavVis here... this sounds like a great feature and I'm happy to forward this as a feature request to our developers.

You can however already embed 360 Panoramas using a 3rd party service such as https://panoraven.com/en/share-360-photo for example. They allow to embed their viewer on any website, by adding the HTML snippet to the respective POI you would be able to achieve exactly what you're looking for. (https://panoraven.com/blog/en/how-embed-360-photos-in-website/ for reference)

I would agree however that it would be nice to have this built-in into IndoorViewer. As I said I will forward this to our devs.

    Have a great day, best,
    Laurin
  • RE: docker image is not displayed

    Hi Shizuo,

it seems that you're missing permissions to access the Docker Images. Permissions are given by NavVis Support Team and are valid for your account only as stated in https://docs.navvis.com/indoorviewer/v10.0/en/html/setup/docker_installation.html#accessing-indoorviewer-docker-images.

You may contact support@navvis.com to get access.

  • RE: POI Sensor integration

    Hi Ben,

that's a great question... to be honest this really depends on your setup and where you get the sensor data from. However the first step would be to integrate your external data by following these steps: https://docs.navvis.com/indoorviewer/v2.8/en/html/features/poi_curation.html#adding-custom-data

Easiest solution would be to just include an iFrame with the data being displayed. Other than that there is also the option to build a more integrated solution using the IndoorViewer Frontend API. There are some examples available if you want to check them out: https://docs.navvis.com/indoorviewer/v2.8/en/html/api-guides/frontend.html

    Cheers,
    Laurin from NavVis
  • Sample Apps using the Frontend API

    Hi there,

I am currently looking for some example apps making use of the Frontend API NavVis IV provides. Does someone here have some examples for me.

    Thank you
  • Change the VLX size during mapping

    Hello there,

I have a simple question as I am currently doing my first mappings using the NavVis VLX. Is it possible to change the size (basically the size of the adjustment plate) while I am doing a mapping? The reason I am asking is because it would be nice to switch with a colleague during a mapping.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.
